Our newest restoration was completed in August 2024. This vehicle is a tribute to the green and white station wagons which patrolled the Massachusetts Turnpike from 1957-1970.

In addition to being able to carry more equipment than a sedan, they were also equipped with stretchers and performed "double duty", often times serving as ambulances in rural areas that had no EMS services. Each barracks had one wagon assigned to perform these duties.

This once civilian-owned Arizona car was purchased by the MSPMLC in 2015 and has been meticulously restored with the unique markings used by Troopers assigned to patrol the "Pike". The rear of this wagon contains period emergency equipment such as a stretcher, oxygen tank, hydraulic tools (precurser to the Jaws-of-Life), radiation detection equipment and a fire extinguisher. The doors seal depicts the original Turnpike logo - a pilgrim hat with an arrow slashing through it!
