Another donated civilian car, the 1951 Ford accurately replicates those used by the MSP in make, model and body style.

In addition to the cosmetic transformation, the original engine was "swapped out" and the correct Ford 90 horsepower "Flathead" V8 was installed along with period-correct markings and equipment.

In 2019 we replaced the 6 volt electrical system with a 12 volt system to better power the vehicle, lights and siren.

 

This cruiser can frequently be seen representing the MSPMLC in parades and other public appearances around the Merrimack River area north of Boston.
