The Learning Center's goal is to connect law enforcement and youth by providing engaging programs that challenge and empower students of all ages. STEM-based programs will enhance learning and allow students to discover the many varied career opportunities within public safety, forensics, and criminal justice.

2-day Advanced Crime Scene Investigation class!
Tuesday April 22 & Wednesday April 23, 2025, 11am-1pm
Special school vacation week event!
This 2-day program will build on participant's prior knowledge of Crime Scene Investigations with case studies and practical hands-on exercises and discussions lead by retired troopers and current Crime Scene Investigators. On day two participants will put their knowledge to work while investigating a mock crime scene, processing the evidence in the MSPMLC Crime Lab, and sharing outcomes with the group. $40 fee for supplies and materials. Recommended for high school juniors and seniors with criminal justice class experience.

The Science of Crashes!
Saturday May 17, 2025, 11am-2pm
Participants will learn crash investigation from troopers assigned to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS). They will learn the physics of crashes, biomechanics, and the technology used in investigations. They will then investigate a mock car crash. $20.00 fee for supplies and materials. Must register in advance due to limited space. Recommended for ages 13-16.

Robotics In Policing class!
Saturday September 13, 2025, 11am-1pm
Come to the MSPMLC and meet State Police Troopers assigned to the Hazardous Devices Section, also known as the Bomb Squad! Students will be introduced to the role of robotics in the MSP and will observe a demonstration of robots in action! Participants will then assemble and operate their own robots on different surfaces. $10.00 fee for supplies and materials. Must register in advance due to limited space. Recommended for ages 7-10.
